The Health Research Society of Canterbury (HRSC) was formed in 1971 (as the Christchurch Medical Research Society, CMRS). Its role is to provide a forum for the presentation of health research and to promote such research generally. Membership is open to all people either involved in or simply interested in health research.

HRSC Emerging Researcher Awards 2025

The Health Research Society of Canterbury (HRSC) Emerging Researcher Awards 2025 will be held on Thursday 16th October. This is a great opportunity for postgraduate students and early-career postdoctoral fellows to present their work to an interested and friendly audience - and there are prizes!

  • CMRF Prize for Best Postgraduate Talk - $500
  • CMRF Prize for Best Postdoctoral Talk - $500
  • (Postgraduate = Honours, Masters or PhD students; Postdoctoral = within 5 years post-PhD)

    Presentations will be in a short 10-min talk format. The programme for the event will be posted once available
